To achieve its objectives, the Organization, in accordance with the procedure established by law, shall have the following powers:

Monitoring and Assessment:

Monitor existing issues and challenges within the tourism sector;

Provide evaluations and assessments concerning these issues.

Documentation and Public Disclosure:

Record, study, and publicly disseminate information regarding the protection of rights and any violations thereof concerning natural and legal persons operating in the tourism sector within the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

Engagement with State and Private Bodies:
-
Involve relevant governmental and private authorities in activities aimed at ensuring the rights of natural and legal persons operating in the tourism sector;
-
Evaluate the performance of such bodies in fulfilling these responsibilities.

Qualification Standards and Appeals:

Propose qualification criteria for guides, driver-guides, drivers, and other natural and legal persons operating in the tourism sector to the Government of the Republic of Armenia, as well as to relevant state and private entities;
-
Participate in public discussions and the activities of relevant qualification authorities;
-
Appeal decisions of the qualification authorities based on professional evaluations.

Interim Measures:
-
Establish interim statuses or appeal fines, suspensions, or prohibitions imposed on natural or legal persons providing tourism services, pending the decision of a court or specialized professional commission.

Corruption Risk Prevention and Consumer Protection:
-
In the presence of complaints, review qualifications of natural and legal persons with the participation of relevant experts;
-
Provide formal opinions aimed at preventing corruption risks and protecting consumer rights.

Training and Professional Development:

Organize qualification and requalification courses involving experienced and recognized professionals to ensure high-quality tourism services;
-
Issue certificates or other relevant documentation upon completion.

Information and Fact-Finding:

Establish and maintain information centers and fact-finding teams throughout the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

Partnerships and Collaboration:
-
Establish and maintain partnerships with governmental and private legal, psychological, and professional entities, institutions, and organizations.

International Relations:
-
Maintain international relations and join international non-governmental and non-profit organizations;
-
Conclude agreements and contracts with foreign and international organizations.

Joint Programs and Events:
-
Organize and implement joint programs and events in cooperation with accredited foreign organizations and diplomatic missions in Armenia, within the framework of ensuring the rights and free activities of natural and legal persons operating in the tourism sector.

Media and Information Dissemination:

Establish mass media outlets in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia;
-
Disseminate information about the Organization’s activities and the tourism sector in Armenia through mass media.

Humanitarian and Social Programs:
-
Implement programs to support socially vulnerable groups for humanitarian purposes;
-
Provide assistance to such programs.

Volunteering:
-
Engage volunteers in the activities of the Organization in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.

Entrepreneurial Activities:
-
Conduct entrepreneurial activities in accordance with the objectives established in the Charter;
-
Manage the Organization’s property and the results of its activities for this purpose;
-
Establish or participate in commercial organizations in accordance with the law.
