The non-governmental organization “Union of Tourism Service Providers of Armenia” (hereinafter — the Organization) is a public association established by citizens of the Republic of Armenia, citizens of foreign states, stateless persons (hereinafter — natural persons), and legal entities for the purpose of satisfying their non-religious spiritual and other non-material needs and carrying out activities for public benefit. The Organization holds the status of a non-commercial (non-profit) entity.
The principles of the Organization’s activities are legality, non-discrimination, good faith, voluntary membership, commonality of members’ interests, self-governance, and accountability.
The Organization operates on the basis of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, the legislation and other normative legal acts of the Republic of Armenia, the international treaties of the Republic of Armenia, and this Charter.
The Organization conducts its activities throughout the entire territory of the Republic of Armenia, as well as in foreign countries, in accordance with the legislation of those countries.
The Purposes and Objectives of the Organization
The scope of the Organization’s activities includes the protection of rights and the provision of professional qualifications for guides, tour escorts, drivers, and other natural and legal persons operating in the tourism sector, for the benefit of enhancing the tourism attractiveness of the Republic of Armenia.
The objectives and tasks of the Organization are as follows:

Ensuring the provision of high-quality tourism services within the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

Ensuring and protecting the freedom of activity and the rights of guides, tour escorts, drivers, and other natural and legal persons operating in the tourism sector from unlawful interference by public or private entities.

Monitoring and evaluating the work of public bodies engaged in the protection of the rights of guides, tour escorts, drivers, and other persons operating in the tourism sector.

Eliminating corruption risks in the tourism sector and protecting consumer rights by supporting and participating in the process of defining professional standards in the tourism industry.

Ensuring the free professional qualification of guides, tour escorts, drivers, and other natural and legal persons operating in the tourism sector, as well as ensuring the transparency and reliability of this process.

Monitoring, evaluating, and/or preventing and appealing processes related to the activities and rights of guides, tour escorts, drivers, and other representatives of the tourism sector.
